A Weekend In The District

I've never imagined that I'm gonna fall in love with Washington D.C in only four days! People who visit the United States usually spend their time in top destinations such as New York, Miami or somewhere on the west coast and I feel like the capital is very underrated. Even though it is not the largest city in the US, it sure has many great things to offer. With its European vibe, The District is a place like no other. The White House, monuments and memorials, museums for days (entries are free) and America's front yard give you a taste of the local flavour and make you feel like you are home away from home.

Here are some of my favourite places that I visited during my weekend in the capital!

The White House

The official residence and principal workplace of the President of the United States. I still can't believe that I got to sit in front of such an iconic place. Getting inside the building is quite complicated but I'm happy just with seeing it from the outside.

Washington Monument

If you ever have the chance to visit Washington D.C, go to the monument at sunset. The views are breathtaking!

United States Capitol

The United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., is a symbol of the American people and their government, the meeting place of the nation's legislature.
