The Blogger Recognition Award

Well, well, well...what do we have here? A gorgeous human being named Em from emilybecca.com was kind enough to tag me in The Blogger Recognition Award and I couldn't say no to that because I really like tags and I was having one of those 'OH.MY.GOD, what do I post next?' moments as well. So many thanks to Em and let's get started. Here are the rules:

How my blog started: I honestly don't have a better reason other than the fact that I really love writing and I have this obsession for beauty so I decided to turn it into something productive. And I also thought blogging would be a really good way to kinda show my writing style and put some of my work out there, seeing as I am a Journalism student. I wrote my first post in April 2016 and now here I am!

Some advice to new bloggers: After my first six months of blogging I wrote a post about some of the things I learned from this (you can check it out here). If there is one thing that I would repeat over and over again, not just to myself but to anyone who is just starting blogging is to like what you write. If you're not proud of the content that you put out there, who do you think is going to read your post? If you do enjoy writing and haven't started blogging for the wrong reasons (like doing it for the freebies) then show it!
Another piece of advice I would like to give to new bloggers is to be nice! Every person that I met through blogging has been absolutely amazing and I haven't had to deal with any trolls so far but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of them waiting around the corner. It's nice to be nice! You don't have to be mean to someone just to make yourself known in the community. And another aspect of this 'being nice' point is to interact with people, especially with bloggers! Reply to comments, tweets and all that and if you like another blogger's post, tweet or Instagram picture, TELL THEM! You don't know how a little compliment like 'oh, I like your hair today' or 'your photography in this post is nice' can make someone's day and give them motivation and the feeling that they are doing the right thing!
